Espresso is certainly one of the most common and most loved brew method by Aussies, Australia-wide. It is easy to see and when chatting with most folks we can see why, the education on coffee has come a long way. So much so that there are people discovering flavour in coffee and moving form instant to coffee snobs, who are out to find the rarest and most exotic coffees one can find on the market. 

Whatever the level of coffee enthusiast you are this is a tested and well enjoyed brew method here in Australia.

The pour-over is certainly hot on the tail of espresso for the second most common used brew method by Australians. You will find this brew method most commonly used by coffee enthusiasts all around the county as they connoisseur coffee beans sourced from all around the world from the classic single origins all the way to the rarest and most exotic.

 This is our hang at home brew method and our preferred way to try our different roast profiles to see what we like, as well as find out various different notes, subtleties and nuances that pop out during the dipping journey.


One of the easiest and most classic ways of brewing coffee, at least in the last 15 years is the plunger method. This is for people who may want that simple boil the water, scoop the coffeee grounds, pour and plunge. However did you know that there is a little bit more to it then that? 

We will elaborate on this in our brew guide/recipe sections later. But for here we will just mention that this is an easy way to provide great coffee for friends and family that swing on over unexpected that requires very little in the way of preparation. This method is enjoyed by those just learning about coffee, some enthusiast, and folks who do a lot of traveling. 

It is easy to take with you wherever you go and whether you have a grinder or purchase pre-gound beans you cannot be disappointed.

Lastly, we cannot for get the best friend of most coffee connoisseurs at home, in the office, traveling round the world. This is the Aeropress. with its compact size and pretty easy to use brew method it is loved by many Aussies who enjoy their favorite brews at home. 

Aeropress cleverly put links to recipes that can help a new Aeropress owner start brewing great coffee all by following 4 simple steps. 1) Heating the water, 2) scooping the coffee, 3) allowing water and coffee to brew for 2-4 minutes, and 4) plunging the coffee into the cup. 

That is it in a nutshell, pretty easy to see how this is quite an easy and convenient way to enjoy your favourite coffee anywhere you go.
