Description
This is our first non-caffeinated coffee from the Amenia Quindo region. This bean comes from the farm of Sanrta Monica. This coffee will make for the perfect afternoon or post-dinner cuppa that has all the flavour of a regular coffee, yet totally decaffeinated.
We hope that you will enjoy and try a bag. We are looking to see what traction this brings coffee can bring to the table. Process: Honey Rainbow Decaf
Decaffeination process: The green beans are put into a steam chamber where silver skin is removed. Then the beans are submerged into spring water, once saturated with water, it is then sent to the extractors where it has direct contact with sugar cane ethyl acetate for 8 hours which dissolves the caffeine content.
Then the decaffeinated coffee is dried in a chamber to reach the same moisture content that it had prior to the process.
